Purair® SAFESEARCH is designed to support organizational mail-screening and postal-security programs established under Federal Mail Screening program under 41 CFR Part 102-192 (United States) and PAS 97:2021 Mail Screening and Security sponsored by the UK's National Protective Security Authority (NPSA) and developed with eh British Standards Institution (BSI) considered the "current comprehensive guidance on mail screening and security" (United Kingdom).
 
Its contained, filtered work area provides an engineering control for the inspection and opening of mail and small packages where airborne particulate or chemical contamination may be a concern.
