Air Science Increases Personnel Safety with a New Modular Ventilation System

Air Science has recently launched the Vent-Box ductless filtration system, a modular ventilation system that attaches to existing bungs on stand alone chemical safety cabinets to evacuate and capture chemical vapors before they enter the atmosphere.

Paul Chambre, CEO of Air Science, states, “As experts on ductless filtration, we recognized an acute need in the scientific and manufacturing communities to protect personnel from vapors within chemical safety cabinets. We designed the Vent-Box system to be modular and completely self-contained, making it easy to install in any application. This helps keep personnel safe, while minimizing installation and configuration costs.”

The Vent-Box is equipped with the exclusive Air Science Multiplex Filtration System, a unique configuration that includes a pre-filter and main filter to create a chemical, physical or combination architecture to adsorb, neutralize or trap the target chemicals or particulates while constant negative pressure removes vapors and particulates from the interior of the cabinet.

Fumes are pulled via a flexible hose connected to the cabinet and clean, filtered air is returned to the laboratory, eliminating the need for external ducting and minimizing loss of treated, conditioned air from the facility.

The Vent-Box is available in a variety of configurations to match your specific vapor or particulate removal requirements. Click here for complete details and specifications.
