Threshold Limit Values (TLV) have been established by safety officials that define for each chemical the amount of PPM (parts per million) at which the chemical becomes harmful to your health.  These are constantly under review because the more we learn about these chemicals -even very frequently used ones- the more we become aware of the possible long term health risks they pose.
